Co-Founder and Managing Partner
Peter Calatozzo is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Journey Capital, a New York-based real estate investment platform focused on the acquisition of multifamily assets across growth markets in the US. He is responsible for the firm's strategic direction, investment decisions, and overall leadership of its business activities.
Prior to founding Journey Capital in 2023, Peter was a senior Principal at The Praedium Group, a leading institutional real estate private equity firm, where he served on the Investment Committee across multiple sponsored investment vehicles. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he was actively involved in sourcing acquisitions across the United States, as well as the asset management, financing, and disposition of the firm's real estate portfolio.
Before joining The Praedium Group, Peter was a Senior Associate in the Real Estate Department at Paul Hastings LLP in New York, where he represented owners, operators, and private equity firms across the full spectrum of real estate transactions — including acquisitions, financings, developments, and dispositions spanning office, multifamily, condominium, and hotel assets.
Peter is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering from Manhattan College and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
