March 12, 2025 – Journey Capital Real Estate Partners, a national real estate investment firm, acquired The Rise at Plantation Walk, a 2021 vintage, 404-unit multifamily property located within the city of Plantation, Florida in Broward County, which is part of the greater Fort Lauderdale MSA. The Property sits in a 27-acre mixed use development comprised of retail, entertainment, office, and hotel space. Peter Calatozzo, Managing Partner and Josh Kogel, Managing Director announced the acquisition. The Plantation Walk acquisition represents Journey Capital’s seventh multifamily acquisition in Florida and first acquisition in Broward County.

Employment fundamentals throughout the greater Fort Lauderdale MSA continue to remain strong as residents are proximate to a number of major employers including Merrill Lynch, AIG, Motorola, AT&T, Bank of America, and an American Express regional headquarters with 3,500 employees.”

The Property consists of two elevatored buildings, one seven-story structure atop ground-floor retail and one standalone eight-story structure. The community provides residents with modern unit interiors and an extensive amenity set.
